Developing Cultural Competence (DCC) Virtual Cultural Exchange for Undergraduates Online Open Enrollment Live Sessions and SelfPaced Online Modules $100 per student Open to the global partners of NC State University NC State University Global Training Initiative (GTI) offers a virtual and transformational cultural exchange experience for undergraduate students in the NC State College of Engineering to connect with and learn from other undergraduates students from around the globe. Students gain a valuable theoretical framework and practical skills through this e-learning course which prepares participants to: Implement strategies for living, studying and working in international and cross-cultural settings Articulate the connection between cultural understanding and solving real-world problems Integrate new perspectives and ways of thinking into their professional portfolio Appreciate and navigate culturally-based approaches to design, teamwork, decision-making, leadership, conflict management, and effective understanding. This one month course includes four 90-minute live Zoom facilitated discussion, independent study, personal reflection, and a group presentation component. Small groups of diverse students meet together for four weeks in Feb, Mar, or April.
